Volunteer Administrator

August 20, 2018

The Robert Poulton Foundation is seeking an administrator who can volunteer approximately 4 hours of their time per week.

Candidates will need to be sociable, have good organisational skills, be fully computer literate and capable of interacting with Mailchimp and social media. Somebody who is creative, self motivated and has vision would be an ideal addition to our team, as there is scope for growth within our organisation.

Candidates will need to be free to attend Jubilate choir rehearsals in Eastbourne on Monday evenings from 7- 9.30 pm.

The position would be ideal for an arts administration student seeking experience.

Contact Philippa for more information.

David Ashman

March 12, 2018

We are very sorry to hear of the death of former trustee, David Ashman. A kind, gentle and knowledgeable man, David was a talented singer, linguist and musicologist. He was extremely supportive of the Robert Poulton Foundation and was instrumental in putting together the programme for our launch concert at St John’s Smith Square.

Soave sia il vento, David.

Jubilate Rehearsals

September 03, 2017

We are pleased to announce that Jubilate rehearsals resume on Monday 11th Sept 7.30 at:

All Saints Church
Grange Road
BN21 4HE

We would be very pleased to welcome some new faces.

This exciting concert was the first time that we had combined the forces of both of our projects. We felt that it was particularly appropriate that we celebrated what would have been Robert’s 60th birthday with a composition entitled ‘ Songs of Kindness’. This piece was written especially for us by prize winning composer and Director of  ‘Sing it!’, Martin Neill.

Pictures available in the gallery.

Congratulations to Martin Neill!

June 06, 2017

Congratulations are due to Sing it! Director, Martin Neill, who has won another international composition competition.

His winning work, ‘Sleep Weel my Bairnie’, was written in response to a competition set by Rudsambee Choir in Edinburgh. Composers were asked to set a Scottish text to music for unaccompanied choir.

Martin’s winning composition will be performed by the choir on 13th August, at St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh. Further details

You can hear ‘Songs of Kindness’ also written by Martin Neill in our 60th Birthday Celebration at 7pm, June 26th All Saints Church, Grange Road Eastbourne BN21 4HE.
